The Georgia Institute of Technology is home to more than 200 research centers and laboratories—an integral part of the entrepreneurial culture at Georgia Tech.
Connecting the Georgia Tech research community together are a number of Interdisciplinary Research Institutes, reporting to the Executive Vice President for Research. Each institute brings together a mix of researchers—spanning colleges, departments, and individual labs— around a single core research area. The institutes exist to create transformative opportunities, strengthen collaborative partnerships and maximize societal impact of the exciting research being done at Georgia Tech.
Government and industry work with our Interdisciplinary Research Institutes to connect with a large portfolio of basic and applied research programs, to create and use novel research laboratories, to interact with Georgia Tech students and to collaborate with other research partners.
New institutes are currently being established, and they will be added to this listing when launched. If you are interested in learning more about a research area for which no institute has yet been designated, please contact us directly using this form.
